**Averages and bowling totals**

Here is yet another list of bowling and batting stats, mainly because I havent sorted out Q&A stuff.
Anyway, here it is and it makes interesting reading if you like that kind of thing.
Jonesy leads the way with total runs scored but not the averages, which will be no surprise to him. Rob 'superman' Holt is going great guns in the wicket taking department and could well hit the fifty mark by the end of the season.......that if the skipper doesnt keep droping dollies at cover (only joking skip.....opening tomorrow ;-).)

Batting
M.Jones 302 runs with an average of= 23.2
M.Ainscoe 215= 19.5
P.Yates 118= 9.8
F.Bockway 134= 26.8
S.Hunter 155= 19.4
N.Fletcher 160= 20
G.Fletcher 118= 14.8
A.Smith 155= 25.8

Frankie leading the averages will he get enough games in to qualify???? Smifffffy looking good though!!!!

Bowling
R.Holt = 35 wickets
F.Brockway = 14
G.Fletcher = 13
N.Fletcher = 8
S.Srirangam = 8
M.Cotton = 8
S.Moriarty = 6
D.Moriarty = 5
M.Ablett = 3

As you can see Rob's doing well but for how many runs!!!!!! You'll have to wait till the end of the season I'm afraid.

TSJCC v's Broadway CC

A much improved performance against Broadway from the last time the teams met, with Totty missing three key players. But still Broadway get the result.

TSJCC 1 pt BCC 4pts

With three key batsmen missing (Ainscoe, Brockway and Hunter) and the fall of two wickets (Smith run out and Yates played on for both 0) in the first couple of overs things looked grim and a repeat of the 57 all out looked like happening again or worst. However Jones stayed calm and hit the bad ball and got Totty going. N.Fletcher, now at the crease started slowly but importantly stayed with the vice-captain. The partnership put over 60 on the board before Jones was run out for 32. Fletcher stayed there for some time reaching his 50 after being droped three times before being bowled trying to quicken the score. The last ten overs saw three wickets fall for forty or so runs to set a total of 141.
Broadway came out and hit the ball hard and scored quickly. Holt bowled well with no reward and G.Fletcher deserved better than just the one wicket. But BCC had more to offer on the run scoring front and reached the required total with 7 wickets and 8 overs left.
Improvement compared to the last meeting but not enough.

Man of the Match!

If anyone has noticed, on the results/fixtures page I've been putting a 'man of the match', nominated by the Captain and myself. As there has been no match and nothing blogged for a week I thoughtI I'd do something.

Well here it is!!! A list of the leading men who have performed on the day as it were.

R.Holt= 2 nominations,
F.Brockway=2 noms,
G.Fletcher=2 nom,
S.Hunter=2 noms,
A.Smith=1 nom,
M.Ablett=1 nom,
M.Jones=1 nom,
M.Cotton=1 nom,
S.Moriarty=1 nom.

As you can see it's anyones title for Totty 2's star man award.....
Rob's super wicket taking skills have seen him pick up 2, with Frank's all round batting and bowling qualities have also seen him pick up 2 nominations (may have been more if he hadnt missed a few games!). Dr Doom also has 2 dispite upsettig people, including the skip with comments of 'we re shit we are, all shit'. Shunts is the other pace setter with two big knocks at the start of the season but slightly dissappointing since, and with his constant trips across the channel it seems his chance of taking the star man prize are fading fast.
Of the one star wonders, Ste Moriarty and Matt Cotton have the highest star man awards per game with both turnung out twice for the 2's.

Didn't see much of the match but did see some of the Totty collapse....and some intersting umpiring!!! Smith and Jones seem to have put Johns on the road to victory when Smith was dismissed with Totty on 78 or so........the umpire then gave Rowdy out lbw, never in a millon years according to him (say no more!!!) The umpire then gave out Shunts first ball, only to call him back. Unfortunatly Shunts was out a few balls later stumped after catching his studs in the ground. There were other questionable desicions but we'll leave it there i think.
Back on the victory road next week boys!
