TSJCC 1 pt BCC 4pts

With three key batsmen missing (Ainscoe, Brockway and Hunter) and the fall of two wickets (Smith run out and Yates played on for both 0) in the first couple of overs things looked grim and a repeat of the 57 all out looked like happening again or worst. However Jones stayed calm and hit the bad ball and got Totty going. N.Fletcher, now at the crease started slowly but importantly stayed with the vice-captain. The partnership put over 60 on the board before Jones was run out for 32. Fletcher stayed there for some time reaching his 50 after being droped three times before being bowled trying to quicken the score. The last ten overs saw three wickets fall for forty or so runs to set a total of 141.
Broadway came out and hit the ball hard and scored quickly. Holt bowled well with no reward and G.Fletcher deserved better than just the one wicket. But BCC had more to offer on the run scoring front and reached the required total with 7 wickets and 8 overs left.
Improvement compared to the last meeting but not enough.

well i was droped three times, but escaped five times as two droped just short of the fielders. in fairness to broadway two of the caught and bowled were more well stop than catchs. umpire said you could have been run out a few time before you atually were!!!
